Albert Redelinghuys

South African 1968- 

Albert Redelinghuys was born in 1968 in Hartswater in the Northern Cape. He received his Diploma in Graphic Design from Pretoria Technikon in 1991. In 2000, Redelinghuys spent three months in residence at the Cite Internationals de Arts in Paris, France. Shortly after, in 2004, he left Gauteng and settled in Nieu-Bethesda, where he continues to paint. He is also the clock-winder for the town’s NG church, a weekly task requiring fifty-six powerful turns. In 2021, he held an exhibition of works within the clock tower.
