Valuations
We provide valuations online, through our Strauss & Co App, or in person at our offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, by appointment. We regularly host a variety of valuation days throughout South Africa and further afield.
Valuations are provided for auction estimates, estate distribution, insurance or probate.
How to sell at auction
Please complete the online valuation form or download our app to complete the valuation form in 3-easy steps. Alternatively, please make an appointment for a face-to-face consultation with one of our specialists in the Johannesburg or Cape Town offices.
We provide estimates of the sale values likely to be achieved, based on auction precedent and recent market prices achieved at auction for comparable property, condition, rarity and provenance.
We do not buy artworks but auction them off on the seller’s behalf.
