Christiaan Nice

South African 1939-2020 

Christian Nice was born in Pretoria in 1939. He was a self-taught artist who lived and worked in Cape Town. Nice was an impressionist who painted a variety of subjects, including still lifes, harbour scenes, landscapes, cottages and donkey carts, and District Six, in a subdued colour palette.
