Frank Dean

British 1865-1946 

Frank Dean was a British painter born in Headingley, Leeds, Yorkshire. He honed his artistic skills at the Slade School of Fine Art and continued his studies in Paris. His travels across North Africa, the Middle East, and India deeply influenced his work, which reflects a rich tapestry of experiences from diverse cultures. Throughout his career, Dean lived in various parts of England and was a prolific exhibitor, showcasing his art at prestigious venues such as the Fine Art Society, the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA), the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI), and the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, as well as the New English Art Club (NEAC). Dean was also a member of the Royal British Artists (RBA).
