Juliet Boustred explores the tenacious survival and ancient mystery of trees surviving for hundreds of years in a wilderness environment. She employs a minimalist technique of ink wash to examine the sculptural quality of trees. Her ink and watercolour compositions eliminate clutter, revealing the essential structure of her subject.
