Marsi van de Heuvel

South African 1987- 

Marsi van de Heuvel, born in 1987, is a Cape Town-based artist whose work explores ideas of identity, belonging, and healing. She grew up in her mother’s art classroom, which inspired her to be an artist. Van de Heuvel received her Fine Art diploma from the Ruth Prowse School of Art, Cape Town, in 2010. While she focused on painting, she also creates with fineliner pens. Van de Heuvel has participated in several group and solo exhibitions in South Africa, including at the Cape Town Art Fair and the FNB Joburg Art fair, as well as the AKAA Fair in Paris, France.
