Musa N Nxumalo

South African 1986- 

Nxumalo’s artistic and curatorial practice includes photography, podcasting, and exhibition making with a keen interest on independent artists.

Since 2009, Nxumalo has developed a visual vocabulary that delicately balances his interest in social documentary photography and fine art.

His project, The Anthology of Youth (2009–2020), has been exhibited both locally and internationally, including at the Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris, the Bamako Biennale in Mali, the Design Museum in Belgium, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Harlem, NY, USA, to name a few. In South Africa, his projects have been exhibited at galleries such as Stevenson, Goodman Gallery, SMAC Gallery, and the Norval Foundation, to name a few.
