Ndikhumbule Ngqinambi

South African 1977- 

Ndikhumbule Ngqinambi is a South African artist inspired by sound, film, and theatre. He often collaborates with other artists – visual artists, musicians, dancers – to translate his works into live performances. Ngqinambi’s work is figurative and expressive, providing motion and emotion. In 2012, he represented South Africa at the Dakar Biennale and has participated in a number of art fairs such as the Cape Town Art Fair, Johannesburg Art Fair, AKAA (Also Known As Africa) Paris, and 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in London. His work features in the collections of Iziko South African National Gallery, Sanlam Private Wealth, Telkom, the University of Cape Town, and Delaire Graff Wine Estate. Ngqinambi lives and works in Cape Town.
