Zambian artist Pam Guhrs-Carr was born in Malawi in 1946. Her father was Norman Carr, an influential British conservationist who worked in Central and Southern Africa. He played a crucial role in establishing eco-tourism in the Luangwa Valley, where Guhrs-Carr was raised and still resides.
