Tamara Osso

South African 1983- 

Tamara Osso excelled as a ballet and contemporary dancer and performed with numerous local and international theatre companies before pursuing her studies in visual art. She completed her MAFA degree (with distinction) at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2014 and her PGCE certificate (with distinction) in education.

Osso’s artworks grapple with the connection between the immediacy of performance and the physicality of painting. She is currently teaching and making art.
