Tony Enebeli

Nigerian 1956- 

Tony Enebeli is a Nigerian artist who was born in 1956 in Delta State. He worked as an apprentice in the studio of Bruce Onobrakpeya, a celebrated Nigerian printmaker, painter, and sculptor during the 1980s. Enebeli works in plastocast, a painted low-relief technique that employs plaster of Paris, which was developed by his mentor, Onobrakpeya. Enebeli’s works are lively figural depictions of the customs and culture of his people.
