Vincent da Silva

South African 1989- 

Vincent Da Silva is based in Somerset West, Cape Town. His work began in plaster, a material that allows expressive textures and tool marks. This medium assisted Vincent in the development of what is now his signature style, sculptures with abstracted quality and accentuated movement.

It was after Vincent matriculated and while he was studying Architecture at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, that he opened up his Gallery in Stellenbosch. Vincent graduated from university in 2011 with a Bachelors's De-gree in Architecture, yet he made the difficult decision to focus solely on his sculpting.
