Notes

"A work of art of special significance is the large, powerful 'Vulture' which was originally sculpted in steatite and then cast in bronze six times. Here Dörte Berner's dramatic talent becomes evident. The vulture's sudden forward movement is stopped by the curved beak, the point of which is as sharp as needle and leads back to the great powerful body."1
