About this Item
A partnership between cousins Bruwer Raats (a Strauss auction favourite) and Gavin Bruwer Slabbert who are on a pursuit to discover unique parcels of vineyards that 'celebrate the rich heritage of the Cape' with heirloom varieties like Hanepoot (Muscat d'Alexandrie), Chenin Blanc and of course home-grown Pinotage. The philosophy behind the craft is a lightness of touch that expresses the unique identities of these special sites.
The Liberté Pinotage is from certified old vines in Stellenbosch.

Critics Ratings
'Abundant red fruit & surprisingly (for Pinotage) delicate, light mouthfeel. 2015 a clear step up with more finesse and intensity. Generous tannins round off a master-crafted example of the grape.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2017, 4.5*
'If you like elegant, understated wines, you’ll love what Gavin Bruwer is doing at B Vintners. This spicy, refined, lowish alcohol red is all about focus and freshness, with Pinot Noir-like sweetness, roundness from older oak ageing and tangy, berry fruit flavours.' - Tim Atkin SA Wine Report 2016, 91 Points
