CHARITY LOT

This wonderful collection of winners of this coveted annual challenge in 2011 include some of SA's top examples of the variety, as identified by a panel of expert tasters.

The Faith (Fetal Alcohol-syndrome & Interrelated Treatment Help) Fund, founded by Beyers Truter of Beyerskloof, aims to prevent Fetal Alcohol-syndrome in communities in the winelands. They offer tutorials and home visits to inform young men and women (the mothers and fathers of tomorrow) about the dangers of alcohol abuse during pregnancy.

In an attempt to reach as many communities as possible, the Faith task team have identified that the current crisis around Covid-19 demands immediate attention. Children are missing out on meals they would routinely receive at schools and community learning centers.

All proceeds from this lot will be applied in feeding schemes (soup kitchens) during this period.
