About this Item
Inglenook is an historical property in the Californian Napa Valley town of Rutherford, and was established in 1871 and bought by Gustave Niebaum in 1879. Adjoining land was purchased over the years and the plantings mainly included red grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Zinfandel. In 1975, the property was purchased by filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, and the wines were labelled as Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery until 2011, when the name was changed back to Inglenook.

Critics Ratings
‘Opened anticipating a dead wine, but still lively. Garnet, some caramel notes, but more impressive was the pencil lead, cedar, plum, still with a sweetness (not sugar, but fruit), long finish, because I thought I would need to pour it out, only had one glass on day one. Amazingly, over the next three days, increased in complexity and maintained a sweet fruit core.’ - Cellartracker, 90/100 (Aug 2021)
