About this Item
Domaine de Chevalier is family-run, leading winery in Pessac-Leognan dating back to the late 1600’s. Today it's owned by the Bernard family and is renowned for its fine and long-aging red and white wines. It is the only property in Bordeaux recognised as a Domaine; the 120-hectare estate is located in the middle of a forest which protects the vines from extreme temperatures. Sustainable farming methods are practiced in the vineyards and over 30 hectares of vines are farmed using biodynamic farming techniques.

Critics Ratings
'Very floral and elegant with raspberry and blackcurrant fruit mixed with toasty oak/vanillin, followed by a medium to full-bodied, stylish, polished wine that is the quintessentially refined style of Pessac-Léognan. Nevertheless, the complexity and nuance has yet to fully emerge. This medium to full-bodied Domaine de Chevalier is poised for a bright future. It is tight and backward now, as well as restrained aromatically, but everything is there for the future. Forget it for 5-7 years and drink it over the following 30 years.' – Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (RobertParker.com) (30th Apr 2015), 92+/100
