About this Item

2001 Cobblers Hill
6 (1 x 6) 750ml

Gary and Kathy Jordan have been making world-class wines since 1993 on this Stellenbosch Kloof property, and today leads a multinational commercial success that they built up from a family concern. Gary's parents, Ted and Sheelagh, bought the 146 hectare Stellenbosch property in 1982, and embarked on an extensive replanting program, specializing in classic varieties suited to the different soils and slopes.

Cobblers Hill is the ultimate expression of Jordan terroir. A limited-release wine, honouring the Jordan family heritage as master cobblers.

Critics Ratings

'The stand-out red was the 2001, which had an unusually high component of Cabernet Franc at 24%, the rest of the blend consisting of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot. Red fruit to the fore, medium bodied with fresh acidity and fine tannins. Whereas Cobblers Hill can appear quite slick and modern, this had a classical air about it.' - Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za 2013, 90/100.
