Critics Ratings

The Art of Chardonnay 2016
‘It has a very attractive bouquet with orange zest, citrus fruit and an attractive marine influence. The palate is very well balanced with orange zest and tangerine, a keen line of acidity and just the right amount of saltiness on the generous, but poised finish. There is something very assured about this Chardonnay.’ - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, 93/100 (Apr 2017)

‘This is the third vintage of Creation’s top Chardonnay, dubbed “the best I can do from this farm” by Jean-Claude Martin. Toasty, mealy and intense, it goes through full malolactic and is something of a Puligny-meets-Meursault style: structured and taut, but with creamy intensity. 2018-22’ - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2017, 94/100

The Art of Pinot Noir 2016
Candied red berries with some black cherry and piquant spice. Finely rubbed tannin with enough acid and fruit to give perfect balance.’ - Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17/20 (Sep 2018)

‘The 2016 is not quite as exciting as the 2015 release - the vintage wasn’t as good either - but that may be because it was a little too young when I tasted it. The oak is quite overt, with firmish tannins lurking in the background, but the underlying fruit is sweet and refreshing, with pomegranate and red plum notes. Maybe this just needs more time in bottle. 2019-26’ - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2017, 93/100
