Critics Ratings
'Stately & ageworthy Bordeaux blend. Mostly cab, as ever, in 2016 with merlot, cab franc (62/25/13); classic bouquet of cassis, lead pencil & hedgerow fruit with extra flesh from slightly more merlot than usual. Hallmark oystershell minerality, fine powdery tannins. Like Cab sibling, proud record of, now, 12 maximum ratings.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2020 5* (96/100)
‘A spiced cherry aroma leads the bouquet of this wine, with supporting notes of currant, raspberry leaf and forest bramble. The palate is smooth and satiny at first, with fine-grain tannins that take over the midpalate and linger well into the medium-length finish alongside spicy tones of cocoa-dusted cherry, charred plum and a touch of blackberry leaf.’ - Lauren Buzzeo, Wine Enthusiast, 92/100 (Sep 2020)
