About this Item
Tirecul La Graviere is based in Monbazillac AOC, across from the town of Bergerac, just 60 miles east of Bordeaux. In 1992, Claudie and Bruno Bilancini founded the estate as they were able to lease one of the region's top Premier Cru sites – Cru de Tirecul. The couple later bought the vineyard in 1997. Today, the domaine holds 10 hectares of organically farmed vines planted on limestone and clay soils. 'Thier late harvest wines are dense, concentrated, unctuous beauties that have surprising acidity and depth,' writes Jeb Dunnuck.

Critics Ratings
‘Made from 80-year old vines, harvested grape by grape, and with yields of 12 hectoliters per hectare, this wine boasts a glorious nose of apricot jam, tangerine essence, and subtle spicy oak. With its profound richness, blazingly vivid definition, huge body, viscous thickness (with no heaviness), and finish that lasts for nearly a minute, this nectar constitutes one of the most extraordinary sweet wines I have ever tasted.’ - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, 100/100 (Jun 1997)
