About this Item
Château Pajzos is one of the oldest, most-respected wine producers in the legendary region of Tokaj and is one of the very few producers to have obtained Grand Cru classification. Roughly 75 hectares, Pajzos effortlessly combines traditional winemaking with more modern techniques to get the most out of their incredible vineyards. Lovingly called the 'nectar of the gods' and the 'wine of kings', these wines are some of the finest dessert wines to be found. Made from mostly Furmint and Harslevelu grapes, with a bit of Muscat Blanc, the clay-rich soils retain moisture and, when combined with sunshine, the grapes over-ripen and develop noble rot.

Critics Ratings
‘One of the world's finest dessert wines. Sensational, ultra-sweet Tokay, yet with a lovely citrus underpinning that keeps it from being heavy. Like melted honey, with lime and pineapple, this is one of those marvelous gems that makes you swoon in delight. Tempting now into the 21st century. A collector's item to drink in small portions, by itself, to celebrate life. 165 cases made.’ - Per-Henrik Mansson, Wine Spectator, 99/100 (Dec 1997)
