the centre painted with a scene of Voortrekkers around a camp fire, some figures singing, others cooking, before wagons and a mountainous landscape enclosed by a geometric border, the reverse with hanging aperture, signed LINN WARE, 1951, and with the artist's initals, T.VAN.S. 32cm diameter; and a Ceramic Studio mottled-blue-glazed jug, 1937, of circular squat form, impressed numerals and dish mark, painted in underglaze-blue THE CERAMIC STUDIO, 1937, 4,5cm high
