About this Item
Bouchard Père et Fils is a sizable and historic Burgundy wine estate, based in Beaune. The largest vineyard owner in the Côte d'Or, it produces more than 100 wines mostly made from Pinot Noir or Chardonnay, in a range that also includes appellations in the Maconnais, Côte Chalonnaise and Beaujolais regions.
Bouchard Père et Fils is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, founded in 1731. In 1995 it was sold to Joseph Henriot, and became part of Groupe La Vigie along with major brands like Champagne Henriot and Chablis' William Fèvre. Bouchard Père et Fils should not be confused with Bouchard Aîné et Fils, which is owned by Boisset.

Critics Ratings
‘Again perfumed, hints of white flowers and citrus. Then a different animal on the palate. Powerful and evident oak but lovely harmony already between oak and fruit.’ - Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com, 18.5/20 (Jan 2008)
‘Entices with its floral and citronella aromas, then follows through with macaroon, lime and mineral flavors. These are set against a refined structure and a creamy texture that lends a lighter-than-air feel. The finish goes on and on. Best from 2010 through 2025.’ - Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator, 96/100 (Sep 2008)
‘Power and elegance combine in this beautifully structured wine. The vineyard, of course, does the work, but the intensity of the rich fruits is given a fine twist of minerality, of tension, and of firm acidity. This wine will age 5–10 years and beyond. The acidity of 2006 will see to that.’ - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, 95/100 (Oct 2008)
