About this Item
Situated on the banks of the River Douro, in northern Portugal, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the de Almeida and today, the Roquette family, for over a century. The estate produces white and red Douro wines and premium Port wines, mostly from single vineyards or quintas. Their philosophy of grape growing is to respect the ecological heritage of the vineyards and preserve the biodiversity in the Douro Valley.
Sustainable practices

Critics Ratings
‘This lithe red oozes with rich spiciness, showing concentrated flavors of kirsch, dark chocolate, mineral and allspice. Features a creamy core, presenting medium-grained tannins that lengthen out nicely. The unctuous finish is filled with a vibrant silkiness.’ - Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator, 94/100 (Jun 2014)
‘From Cima Corgo, Douro. 100% Tinta Roriz. Released only in the finest years. Vivid and deep in colour with intense ripe fruit aromas and notes of oak. Soft and round on the palate, very well balanced. A long and lingering finish. Pungent and potent on the nose. Lots of sweetness and ripeness on the start. Really big and powerful though the tannins are seductive. Sweeter than 2003! Long. Very sumptuous.’ - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 16.5+/20 (Sept 2016)
