The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe black cherry and blueberry fruit, very fine tannin, cashmere in texture but with the structure on the finish to suggest that long-term aging will be required. 'Decadent notes of fresh caramel, plum sauce and raspberry coulis lend richness to the nose of this seductive Shiraz. Additional notes of black cherry and blackberry are laced by forward notes of toasted oak, sweet spice, black pepper and fennel. The palate is plush and full, with a texture like crushed velvet and spicy notes of mocha, sweet smoke and pepper that hold on tightly through the finish.
