About the SessionJust how well do modern-era South African wines perform as they get older ? One of the most important measures of great wine is that it should be age-worthy, that is it should become more pleasurable and more interesting to drink with time in the bottle.

Critics Ratings
'Every bit as good as the remarkable 2010, this Rhône blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Viognier is big, bold but not brash. Dense, youthful and muscular, it’s scented, savoury and sweetly oaked, shimmering with granite-edged minerality, dark berries and wild herbs. Delicious. Drink: 2015-22.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2015, 95/100
'The 2013 Full Circle is a blend of 76% Shiraz (the lowest in recent years), 12% Grenache, 8% Mourvèdre and 4% Viognier. It has a refined nose, well defined, almost laid-back in style, with those blackberry and briary scents, that touch of iodine and seaweed just rolling out of the glass as it opens. The palate is well balanced with supple tannin, and fleshy with hints of dark chocolate sprinkled liberally over the fleshy finish. Not quite as complex as the 2012 Full Circle tasted alongside, but still an accomplished wine from Dewaldt Heyns.' – Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, 91/100 (Nov 2015)
