A pair of famille-verte plates, Qing Dynasty, late 19th century
each decorated with a pair of birds perched on a leafy branch, before a rocky outcrop and foliage, the cavetto with iron-red crenulated border, the rim with diaper band and foliate medallions, the reverse with iron-red glazed bats, firing faults, fritting chips to the rim, 18,5cm diameter; and another famille-verte plate, late Qing Dynasty, the centre decorated with a pair of phoenix before rocky outcrops and a balustrade, flowering peonies and blossoms, the rim with four medallions enclosed by blue and yellow Greek-key pattern, gilding worn, 18,5cm diameter
