Savage Wines was launched in 2013 after revolutionary winemaker at Cape Point Vineyards, Duncan Savage started his own family label. A few months after Duncan turned 35, Savage Wines released a white and a red blend to critical acclaim. Today there are 8 wines in the elegantly defined Savage Portfolio, produced in his winery in Salt River, culminating in some of the most sought-after wines on the market.

'Duncan Savage released his softer 2016 ahead of this more ageworthy red and it was definitely the right decision. Syrah-based with Cinsault, Touriga Nacional and Grenache, it's still quite firm and tight, with a tannic backdrop to figgy, mulberry fruit. 2020-26' - Tim Atkin 93/100
