About this Item
With a history dating all the way back to 1838, Zandvliet has records of plantings dating back to 1879. On the outskirts of the Robertson Wine Valley, Zandvliet is synonymous with Shiraz, being the very first wineries in SA to bottle this noble cultivar back in the 1970s. Then owned then by Paul de Wet, they believe the key to their success lay within the soils of Zandvliet, featuring calcareous Karoo with a red clay underlay, dotted with pockets of chalky limestone.

Critics Ratings
'What a lovely wine! Offering a superb balance of freshness, red fruit and typical Shiraz meaty complexity, this wine offers beautiful poise, drinkability and style. Soft and flavoursome it will keep well for another decade.' - Roland Peens 91/100 (2019)
