About this Item

2004 Côte Rôtie Les Becasses
3 (1 x 3) 750ml

Michel’s Chapoutier’s landholding, track record and incredible consistency from entry-level wines through to the single-vineyards is unparalleled in the world of wine. Chapoutier ranked 4th in 2019 amongst the “World's Most Admired Wine Brands“. Chapoutier is one of the oldest names in the Rhone valley. Founded in 1808 by the Calvet family, it was sold to the Chapoutier family in 1855. Today, Michel Chapoutier is the reference-point for the entire Rhône Valley, especially with their single vineyard Sélections Parcellaires. In fact, Robert Parker has praised Chapoutier’s Northern Rhône’s as some of the world’s finest wines.

Critics Ratings

His land-holdings in the northern Rhone are incredible and the Becasses has been produced in Cote Rotie for 3 decades. This is a delicious, savoury and mature 2004.

'Open-knit, with briary tannins supporting blackberry, cherry, tobacco and coffee notes. Firm, smoky finish.' - Wine Spectator 89/100
