About this Item

2005 Hermitage Rouge
2 (1 x 2) 750ml

3 generations farm 20 hectares of Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint Joseph appellations in the Northern Rhône. Their vineyards lie across four different areas: Les Murets, Les Dionnières, La Beaume and Les Pierrelles. Syrah is grown on the areas of stony brown sand and Marsanne is grown on the areas of loam and red clay. The vineyards are mainly located on hillsides, which makes it difficult to use machinery, especially for the harvest which is still done by hand.

Notes

Due to time constraints set upon us with the COVID-19 Lockdown no original bottle shots were taken.

Critics Ratings

'Displays gorgeous aromas of freshly shaved vanilla bean, roasted coffee and well-aged tobacco, with supple currant, fig paste and black cherry fruit. The long finish really lets the minerality shine, with plenty in reserve for cellaring.' - Wine Spectator 93/100
