'The 2012 Cape Vintage Reserve has a joyful, quite ravishing nose of fig, raisin and black cherries that (as usual) are well defined -- the kind of bouquet you just want to keep on nosing! The palate is viscous on the entry with clove-tinged, spicy black fruit. The tannins here are very fine, with no excess alcohol and that allows the elegance to show through on the finish.
