About this Item
The Beaumont family were among the first to harness the potential of wine grapes in the picturesque Bot River district and with Sebastian Beaumont at the helm their reputation is established as a fine wine producer, spearheaded by the consistently superb reserve Chenin from the oldest vineyard blocks on the farm (planted 1974 & 1978).

Critics Ratings
'Typical Beaumont Mourvedre in its lightness and perfume, compounded by the elegance of the 2012 vintage. Cranberries, pomegranate, tea leaf and green olive. A bright line of acidity is keeping the wine lively with a lovely light texture, although the medium body is mature and ready to be enjoyed now and comfortably over the next 2-4 years.' - Higgo Jacobs (March 2022)
'The 2012 Mourvèdre (incidentally there is no more Shiraz/Mourvèdre blend) is raised in used oak. It has a delicate nose for this grape variety, tertiary infused black fruit mixed with a dab of melted tar. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit intermingled with white pepper and fennel. This is a stylish, quite understated Mourvèdre that shows the deft hand of winemaker Sebastien Beaumont, who obviously loves this variety. This comes recommended.' - Neil Martin, Wine Advocate, 90/100 (Nov 2015)
