About this Item
Based in Meursault, between the villages of Puligny-Montrachet and Volnay, Henri Boillot is at the epicentre of great winemaking. The Boillots have been tending vines and making wines since 1885. Henri joined in 1975, bought out his siblings in 2005 and his son Guillaume joined in 2008. It totals 19 hectares, planted almost equally to red and white. Included herein, are 4 hectares of the famous monopole vineyard Clos de la Mouchère, which has developed a cult following. In a very short space of time, they have built an extraordinary reputation for the sheer quality of their Burgundies, it is no surprise that Allen Meadows thinks this superstar producer ‘has arguably become the finest pure négoce specializing in white Burgundy today’.

Critics Ratings
‘This is perhaps the ripest wine in the range with its nose of spiced plum, mocha, dark cherry liqueur and soft wood scents. There is excellent richness and mid-palate concentration to the lightly mineral-inflected flavors that possess fine persistence on the mildly austere and saline-infused finish that also displays enough asperity to notice. Drink 2022+’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound, 90/100 (Apr 2014)
