Domaine Taupenot-Merme is located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, in Morey Saint Denis. The estate holds 13 hectares of vines, over 20 appellations in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. Today, 9th generation proprietors, Romain Taupenot and his sister Virginie, manage this family estate. With its history dating back to the 17th century, the domaine became what it is today after the marriage of Romain’s parents, Denise Merme and Jean Taupenot, in the 1960s. With their union, they brought together the Saint-Romain parcels of the Taupenot family with those belonging to the Mermes family in Morey-Saint-Denis.

This is both bigger and more concentrated than the Charmes with good muscle and punch to the detailed and intense finish that delivers excellent persistence.
