Critics Ratings

'This has a mind-blowing nose of pre-phylloxera fruit I have found in a few rare bottles of red Burgundy from the 1800s. It's all exotic flowers such as lilacs with dried strawberries. Full-bodied, with profound depth of fruit but gorgeous subtlety and complexity. Barrel sample.' - James Suckling, 99-100/100 (Nov 2012)

'Dark ruby. Very rich indeed. Massive spread and hugely opulent. Very grand cru burgundy. So concentrated. A certain wildness. Spice. Fresh and exciting. Long and reverberant. Quite unlike the norm and very Etna but great intensity and balance.' - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 18/20 (Oct 2014)

‘Cloudy garnet color. Heavily oxidised on the nose. Maderised palate and very grainy tannins, but there's still balance on the palate. For some people, this would be lifeless, but there's a certain necrophiliac enjoyment to be had.’ - Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, 16/20 (Jan 2021)
