“Don’s Reserve was the brainchild of Don Rowand. His wife, Lynn, owns the estate Nova Zonnestraal, famously situated close to where the first Constantia vines were planted, the birthplace of where SA winemaking all began. Don believed that Constantia could compete with the top Sauvignons of the Bordeaux and Loire Valley, and set out to make something that could stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world, but also stand proudly on its own! This Blanc Fume comes from the estate’s coolest block and is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. Sadly, Don passed away before he could enjoy the fruits of his creation, but the wine has been posthumously named after his legacy, and continually aims to be the best of the best!”
