Here, in the 'golden triangle' of Stellenbosch, renowned for its favourable terroir for producing world class, structured reds, Waterford Estate has grown into a luxury brand for fine wine.
Having researched which varieties may perform best, Kevin planted a basket of Mediterranean varieties with the vision of producing an icon blend from the property. At the entrance of the Blaauwklippen Valley, the Shiraz was Waterford’s most famous wine before the release of the Jem. Interestingly Oprah Winfrey chose the Kevin Arnold Shiraz to accompany the main course at her 50th birthday celebration.
