An Edward VII silver four-piece tea set, Mappin & Webb Ltd, Sheffield, 1902
comprising: a hot water pot, a teapot, a two-handled sugar bowl and a milk jug, each moulded in relief with a c-scroll cartouche enclosing the initials 'JT' to one side, flanked by scrolling foliage, flowerheads and gadrooned borders, the coffee pot and tea pot applied with harp-shaped ebonised handles and finials, the sugar basin and milk jug applied with reeded harp-shaped handles, on a circular ribbed footrim, the hot water pot with inscription 'Presented to Wor. Bro. James Thompson Sogw. by the King Solomon Lodge No 887. S.C. as a token of esteem for his untiring effort & valuable services as substitute master & acting R.W.M., 1899 to 1902, December 19th 1902', the base stamped 'Mappin & Webb London', dents, oxidisation, repair to the teapot, the hot water pot 23,5cm high, 1635g all in
