About this Item
Ice Wine: A sweet, late harvest wine that can only be made when grapes naturally freeze in the vineyard at a minimum -8°C/17.6°F. Once picked, the grapes are pressed immediately while still frozen. Each frozen grape yields just one drop of intensely frozen juice. Ice Wines offer a uniquely Canadian Wine Experience.
Gehringer Brothers Riesling Ice Wine 2003 (1 x 375ml)
?Walter and Gordon Gehringer are included in a very select group of qualified winemakers that are British Columbia-born yet have learned their craft in Europe. They compete amongst the world's best year after year, and their hard work, and dedication to perfection has not gone unnoticed.
‘Floral, citrus rind, mineral, red apple skin aromas with a touch of peach. Rich, intense, slightly fat palate with nice acidity and elegance. Lots of orange citrus, ripe red apple, mineral, juicy mango, honey flavours with a long candied citrus, green apple, peach finish. The nose is a bit muted but the palate and fruit flavours are excellent. Try in a year or so.’ - Anthony Gismondi, gismondionwine.com, 92/100 (Nov 2004)
