About this Item
After a very successful and defining 17-year period at the helm of Steenberg winery, including induction into the Cape Winemakers Guild, John Loubser set out with wife Karen on her family farm in Robertson to further hone in on his artistry of producing fine Method Cap Classique sparkling wines - and only that.
The wines were immediately embraced as industry favourites, especially among fine dining establishments. Green Man is the Blanc de Blancs from 100% Chardonnay grown on limestone rich soils in Robertson.

'The Green Man, from grapes grown on the Loubsers’ Robertson farm, was first made in 2004 and has become one of South Africa’s leading examples.' Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za
'Lovely, layered Chardonnay (10% oaked) 2014 has flavours of fresh crisp apples & pears balanced by star anise, cinnamon, pastry, brioche and cream. Truly delightful bubbly. 28 months on lees, 8 months on cork before release' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2018, 4.5*
