Lismore was struck a severe blow in December last year when a runaway veld fire destroyed Sam's family home, the wine cellar (and most of the wine stock) as well as a large portion of the vineyards.
All the proceeds of the Lismore lots on sale will go to the producer, in aid of rebuilding efforts - no buyers or sellers commission charged.

"From shale soils over clay with no new barrel and 15-20% malolactic fermentation, the 2013 Chardonnay has a nose that positively strides out of the glass with pineapple, guava and brioche aromas that hold nothing back. The palate is well balanced with touches of stem ginger and orange zest, demonstrating very good depth with a structured, almost terse finish that will need 3-4 years to mellow.
