6 (1 x 6) 750ml

Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier was founded in 1863 by Frédéric Mugnier’s great-great-grandfather. In 1985, Frederic – a fifth generation Mugnier – took over, and somehow managed to combine the running of the property with his job as an airline pilot. He now focuses his efforts solely on winemaking. The estate is renowned for its Chambolle-Musigny and is the second largest owner in Musigny.

Critics Ratings

'A notably ripe yet still fresh nose displays notes of spice, menthol and a surprising touch of wood along with still mostly primary dark berry fruit and plum nuances. There is good richness and mid-palate concentration to the powerful, intense and voluminous flavors that culminate in a chocolate and mineral-inflected finale where hints of warmth and bitterness appear. As the description suggests this is awkward and a bit disjointed.' - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 88/100 (2015)
