About this Item
Producer tasting notes: 'The nose is characterised by freshness and spice, vanilla pod, dark chocolate and hay aromas. Silky and smooth on entry, the wine has a flinty minerality with subtle tannins and huge length and persistence. The flavour profile is dominated by tangy, ripe, almost over-ripe red berries together with brambles and cassis - classic flavours expected in a top quality claret.'

'The LGR, named after the owner of this spectacular property, is a varietal Cabernet sourced from a single block planted in 2000. There are only a few thousand bottles to go around of this ambitious, ageworthy red. Structured, concentrated and very well balanced with fresh acidity and layers of fruit complexity. Up a point with an extra year in bottle. 2021-35' - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2019, 97/100
'One-hundred-percent Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Laurence Graff Reserve has a rich and voluminous nose filled with red and purple flowers, ripe black fruit and a dusty red-fruited core with oak aromas that are a constant. Splashing down on the palate, the wine is full-bodied and smooth across the palate but leads toward a solid tannin structure over the black fruit and oak. The wine ends with a pleasing complexity that is in focus on the long finish.' - Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, 92+/100
'Big, powerful Cabernet, but the quality of dark-bright fruit, suppleness of ripe & forceful tannins, well absorbed 80% new oak & overall excellent balance mean that 2015's rippling musculature has some grace & is not flashily showy.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2020, 4.5* (93/100)
