Critics Ratings
'A spiced cherry aroma leads the bouquet of this wine, with supporting notes of currant, raspberry leaf and forest bramble. The palate is smooth and satiny at first, with fine-grain tannins that take over the midpalate and linger well into the medium-length finish alongside spicy tones of cocoa-dusted cherry, charred plum and a touch of blackberry leaf.' - Lauren Buzzeo, Wine Enthusiast, 92/100 (Sep 2020)
'This features a charming nose, with aromas of violet and cherry blossom, while the palate offers currant and rose hip notes, accented by hints of thyme and cocoa. Vibrant and firm, showing lovely freshness and length. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Drink now through 2028.' - Wine Spectator, 90/100 (May 2020)
'How do you follow a 100-point red? It's not easy when the vintage was 2016, which didn't have the class of 2015. But by any standards, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with 15% each of Merlot and Cabernet Franc is still one hell of a wine, even in a difficult year. Grippy, focused and slightly leaner than the 2015, but with savoury tannins and plenty of youthful fruit concentration. 2022-36' - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2019, 96/100
