1995:
'The 1995 Lafaurie-Peyraguey is quite a deep amber hue, which is no surprise at 24 years of age. The striking nose offers copious mango, orange peel and light adhesive scents, forward and vivacious. The palate is well balanced and quite Barsac-like in style, perhaps not quite achieving the quality level of the aromatics, but undoubtedly fresh and lively. Tangy marmalade and quince intermingle with ginger and pineapple on the finish, where I might have liked more persistence. Otherwise, this is a delicious, uncomplicated yet satisfying Lafaurie-Peyraguey.' - Neal Martin, Vinous, 91/100 (Aug 2019)
1997:
'Strange nose at the moment but round, full, rich nose of ripe pears. Lovely pure fruit but not one of the biggest. Slightly simple.' - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 16.5/20 (Dec 2001)
