About this Item

1995 Grey Label Cabernet Sauvignon
1 (1 x 1) 750ml

Wolf Blass is a wine producer based in the Barossa Valley wine region of South Australia. It produces a large portfolio of wine at a range of price points and is one of the largest Australian producers by volume. It is best known for the popular red grapes Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The company was founded in 1966 in Barossa by German-born Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass. The wine labels are color-coordinated by pricing tier, with yellow being the value range and platinum reserved exclusively for single-vineyard bottlings. The inaugural release of the platinum range was a 1998 Shiraz, which went on to be named Best Shiraz in the World at the 2002 International Wine and Spirit Competition.

By the legendary John Glaetzer. Grey Label has always been produced from the best Cabernet Sauvignon fruit that Wolf Blass can source from good vineyards at Langhorne Creek. This exceptional Cabernet growing district is renowned for its unique soils, nourished by the Bremer River's flooding, which drives the development of powerful characters and distinctive flavours in the local Cabernet fruit.
