About the SessionEmerging Painting Invitational Prize (EPI) is an international art platform developed by the Emerging African Art Galleries Association (EAAGA) to support and recognise the excellence of emerging painters living and working on the continent.
Due to Covid-19 the artworks are in various locations in Africa. Delivery can be arranged with EAAGA after checkout, and please note that delivery and any additional import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

Notes
Willy Karekezi is a self-taught conceptual artist who lives and works in Kigali, Rwanda. His work is driven by social and political engagement. Through paintings,
sculptures, installations and public art Willy expresses himself. He believes that art is without boundaries and that it enables him to tell stories and communicate to the society. He aims to share his reality and the experiences faced by himself and others in order to contribute to communities by creating a dialogue within society. Through educative programs and working within refugee camps in Rwanda and Uganda, he also contributes financially and emotionally through workshops, exhibitions and installations.
To name a few, Willy has worked with the Moleskine Foundation, American Refugee Committee, UNHCR, European Youth Exchange Project and Kinderfreunde Austria. His work has been exhibited worldwide in solo and group exhibitions in i.a. The National Museum of Uganda; The Oglethorpe University Museum of Art in Atlanta; Green Circle - pool7, Vienna; Sprachsalon Berlin; and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
