About this Item
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze is a producer in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy that specializes in producing wines made from Pinot Noir. The domaine has its origins in vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin purchased in 1850 by Jean-Baptiste Laroze. Eventually Alexandre Drouhin took over the estate, bringing his family vines from Chambolle-Musigny and incorporating them under Domaine Drouhin-Laroze.

Critics Ratings
‘A spicy, ripe, elegant and admirably pure nose offers up notes of anise, sandalwood and clove that add breadth to the floral, earth and stone-suffused aromas. There is the same superb breadth to the rich, intense and tension-filled full-bodied flavors that possess excellent power and drive on the seductively textured, muscular and classy finish. As good as the prior grands crus are, there is another dimension present here. Drink 2025+.’ – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 93-95/100 (Jan 2012)
‘Powerful while still fruity, this shows acidity and notes of ripe black cherry and spice. Very structured and solid, this complete, tannin-packed wine is definitely for long-term aging.’ – Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, 94/100 (Jan 2012)
